The Ask: Create two exceptional, interactive events that engage an international audience comprised of non-English speakers and over 200 children.
The “Dream” Theme: Celebration of Canada
The Delivery (times two!): A magical Welcome Night held on the Vancouver Convention Centre terrace. Magnificent wrap-around views set the backdrop, against which bold red and white styling stood out. Table sizes were mixed to ensure country groups could gather together. A mix of highbrow and high-energy interactive stations engaged guests of all ages.
From Top Shot hockey to salmon fishing, and from a Totem coloring station to rolling maple syrup, guests delighted in true Canadiana. Face painters, “Birds of Prey,” balloon creators and tattoo artists kept time to a well-known DJ, who pumped up the energy.
The Gala Evening was held in the same ballroom as that day’s “General Session.” We used a clever ceiling treatment to bring the Northern Lights indoors. The Ice Beat Factory put on an amazing show, carving the company logo in real time, to the beat of live music. With beautiful table décor, and engaging entertainment, we ticked all the client boxes without a hitch.
Special Considerations: Budget conscious décor was used including pinwheels, bounce balls, candy, and versatile floral arrangements, which could be repurposed throughout the program.
