The 2024 Canadian Event Awards Gala, Canada’s premier recognition event for the event and meeting industry, was held on May 8th at the La Primavera Event Space in Toronto where the winners were crowned. This year’s competition saw unprecedented entries showcasing the vibrant and dynamic nature of Canada’s event industry.

Cantrav was honored to be a finalist for five awards:

• Best Event Design/ Decor $150,000
• Best Corporate Event Under $150,000
• Best Corporate Event $150,000 – $450,000
• Best Entertainment Production for a Corporate Event
• Most Outstanding Event Under $450,000

The competition was fierce, with judges noting the high caliber of production and creativity. The level of innovation and excellence this year was truly outstanding, reflecting the industry’s resiliency and creativity.

Throughout the evening, the awards for Event Design, Production and Corporate Event categories were presented to our well-deserving industry colleagues from across Canada. In suspenseful, award-show style, it was the final category, Most Outstanding Event under $450,000, that was awarded to Cantrav. The award was presented for our “Québec Gold De Lys” event delivered in Quebec City which included over 42 entertainers across multiple stages drawing inspiration from the Fleur de Lys, highlighting Cirque. Cantrav’s VP of Sales and Marketing, James Fry, was in attendance to receive the award on behalf of the Cantrav team coast-to-coast.

The Canadian Event Awards are known for their rigorous competition process, with entries reviewed and scored based on the merits of creativity, problem-solving, innovative solutions, design aesthetics, and more. This is the only competition in the world for event professionals that is judged with such meticulous review, offering a unique forum in Canada for event professionals and their clients to be recognized for their hard work, success, and achievements.
