WHAT YOU’LL DO

With a focus on innovative client service, teamwork, and expert delivery, we seek a driven and proven sales leader to join Cantrav’s sales team as the Manager, Destination Development, Vancouver. The successful candidate is based in Metro Vancouver and will be focused on generating demand for Cantrav’s services within Vancouver. In addition, the position is also responsible for representing all of Cantrav’s dynamic destinations and services as needed. This role requires an organized, energetic, and experienced individual with both a background in tourism and a demonstrated ability to sell.

Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, can effectively work independently, and is highly organized and attuned to client needs. Responsive, flexible and creative, this position is perfect for a seasoned sales candidate. Thorough, detail-oriented, and experienced, you’ve built existing relationships within the meeting, incentive and convention industry including Vancouver’s hotel and hospitality sector; and local, regional and provincial destination marketing organizations. The ideal candidate can effectively develop sales/market segment plans and develop and implement sales strategies as a means of driving profitable business for Cantrav and its destinations.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • You’re a great communicator and possess the ability to build long-lasting relationships
  • A growth mindset with a drive to win and move the top-line revenue needle for Cantrav
  • Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to make smart business decisions, manage logistics, multi-task, and meet project deadlines
  • Superior organization skills with great attention to detail as well as the ability to successfully manage changing priorities
  • You produce high-quality work along with a deep commitment to accuracy
  • Inspiring and accurate professional communication ability
  • Comfort and poise presenting to key decision-makers with the ability to close the deal
  • You are at home and proficient on a computer, in a Microsoft environment and within a CRM
  • Expert knowledge of Vancouver is required
  • Comfort and ability to work beyond 9 – 5. Our client’s events can be in the evenings and on the weekends and we’re there too
