The challenge: To host global dignitaries of the finance world; to produce a G7 event that would be a seamless operational experience, and for Canada to be viewed as superior hosts – warm, welcoming, forward thinking and contemporary. To create a dynamic meeting environment, that was conducive to the classic round table meeting style and rooted in the essence of the destination in terms of style. Cantrav executed a spectacular program on the world stage. We were proud to be selected based on our proven results, experience, vision, and our ability to bring inspiration, creativity, and innovation to any project.
A complex three-day program was designed and executed in a short, five-month timeframe. We managed environment design, technical production including secure feeds to satellite locations, dignitary liaison, translation services, media relations, branding, protocol services, entertainment, décor, transportation services, private security, communications systems. Multiple, extensive site visits were hosted and logistics changed regularly due to heightened security, changes in domestic and international political climate and evolving priorities.
Five events also took place across Whistler in the evenings, all had to be executed impeccably with understated elegance. The Finance G7 has since been voted the best of the eight G7 meetings, which took place across Canada in 2018. It exceeded every expectation the Government had.
